Cam you recommend a dab radio alarm that has an external aerial socket?

Pure Evoke 3 is the only DAB radio that has an external socket.

My son leaves music on all night can this be set to go off after say an hour when he is asleep and then back on as an alarm?

There is a sleep timer, which can be set for up to 90 minutes.

Can you fall asleep listening to one radio station and set the alarm to wake you up to a different station ?
|
|
Chris says:
The alarm will tune the radio to the last station you listened to in either DAB or FM mode. However it is still possible to listen to a different radio station by making use of the FM mode on the radio. For example, if you set the alarm to wake up to an FM station, you can then listen to a DAB station using the snooze function, and the radio will switch to the last FM station you listened to.

Can an external aerial be fitted?
Is the 'bit of wire' adequate for all users?
If external aerial cannot be fitted and better aerial is needed, what model should I be looking at instead?
|
|
Chris says:
The wire aerial is not detatchable and an external aerial cannot be fitted.
In most medium to high signal areas, there should be no problem with reception using this type of aerial. the larger models tend to be the ones with the detatchable aerials, however they often lack the alarm features of a small model.

Graham Headleand asks: (2008-10-15 12:49:16)
Does this radio/alarm have a battery backup?
|
|
Chris says:
Battery backup is not required to keep the clock going, as it will reset to the correct time as soon as power is restored. The alarm would only fail to function if the mains power is off at the time the alarm is due which is also the case with most radios which do have battery back-up.
