| Elegant DAB digital stereo radio with Roberts' handy PausePlus functionality and an input for your MP3/iPod playback - the RD-22 from Roberts looks good and sounds good with some great features.
|
The Roberts RD-22 is first and foremost a main-only DAB Digital Radio. With 11 national channels from the BBC plus 7 national commercial stations and a whole raft of local stations broadcasting across the country the average listener can tune into at least 30 digital radio channels.
However it is more than just a radio. It has a input for your iPod/MP3 player which means you can use it as a versatile home stereo. There's even a optical TOSlink for connecting to an amplifier, so you could build a whole sound system around the Roberts RD-22. Add to this a remote control and you have all the elements you need for a mini home stereo.
The high density wooden cabinet not only adds to the look of the RD-22 but also enhances the sound. This model actually has two sound modes - normal, and 3D which makes the most of the two long throw loudspeakers. This means that whatever you are listening to whether it is the radio or the music downloaded onto your MP3 player it will sound its best with the Roberts RD-22.
