Described as having "External FM/DAB aerial socket", does this Radio have to be connected to an external FM/DAB aerial in order to operate, please? Is there a work-around if no such aerial connection is available? Thanks

The radio is supplied with a short wire aerial, which will be OK for use in areas with a strong DAB signal.

For areas with a weaker signal, the socket allows you to connect an aerial which is external to the radio, this doesn't mean that the aerial has to be external to the house - there are a number of indoor aerials available which support DAB reception, which can be used in conjunction with the radio.

You only need a outdoor aerial in areas where there is a very poor DAB signal.
