The Myryad RS has plenty up its sleeves to entertain you. The company who make it are best known for their hi-fi separates, but have decided to bring those features together in one handy compact product. The place where the Myryad will score highly is in the sound quality. It has high-quality stereo drive units on either side, and a downward-firing subwoofer on the base panel. This 3-way speaker system with 100mm woofer delivers room filling hi-fi stereo sound. There's even separate Treble and Bass controls for optimum sound balance. In addition the headphone socket has a dedicated amplifier so you'll always get the best quality.
The unit itself is mainly a DAB Digital Radio that also offers FM (with RDS). You have 6 station presets to play with as well as easy station search and scrolling text which come as standard on most DAB radios. There's also a built-in alarm with multiple wake-up options.
However you can expand your use of RS thanks to the auxiliary input for MP3, CD player or music playing mobile phones. In addition the Myryad M-Bus expansion port to allow it to stream music or internet radio wirelessly (see accessories). Alternatively you can use the Line out socket to connect it to your existing hi-fi equipment.
